In this virtual platform, we have chosen to address communities who are affected by mental health issues. These are characterized by changes in thinking, mood or behaviour associated with significant distress and impaired functioning, caused by a complex interplay of biological, psychosocial, economic and genetic factors. Jack.org York is the York University chapter of Jack.org, a national organization that trains and empowers young leaders in Canada to transform mental health, end the stigma around mental health, and encourage those who seek help. Therefore, we contacted Jack.org York to discuss topics related to people with mental health issues.
